Harnessing Sexual Energy with Consciousness
Orgasmic Meditation involves one person gently stroking the clitoris of the other person for 15 minutes while both place their attention on the point of contact and notice what they feel. In an evaluation of 780 OM practitioners using the highly rated Mystical Experience Questionnaire, developed by Johns Hopkins University, it was found that 63% of practitioners had experienced a mystical state, defined as religious, peak or transcendental experiences or epiphanies, on par with the second highest dose of psilocybin. Even a single episode of mystical experience has been shown to provide long-term reductions in symptoms of addiction, depression, and other mood disorders.
